International cooperation of the Department of Human Anatomy, Operative Surgery and Topographic Anatomy.

The main areas of international cooperation of the department:
1) expansion of cooperation in the field of science and education with research and educational institutions of foreign countries;
2) increasing the number of students from among foreign students, master’s students and doctoral students;
3) monitoring global trends in science and education, studying and mastering advanced foreign experience;
4) organization of international forums, conferences, seminars and other formats of events or activities with international participation;
5) formation of a multilingual and multicultural environment at the department for the implementation of international cooperation;
6) publication of research and development results abroad.
Based on the above, the following work was carried out at the department from January to April 2026.
To improve the teaching of the course “Operative Surgery and Topographic Anatomy” to third-year undergraduate students majoring in General Medicine, Pediatrics, and Dentistry, with the close support of the International Department of Tashkent State Medical University, international specialists Nimra Arshad, Jyothsna Bhargavi Mandapakala, and Surabhi Shukla were invited to interview for teaching positions. Nimra Arshad and Surabhi Shukla were selected for interviews and will begin teaching and research at the department beginning in the 2026-2027 academic year.
From January 15-17, 2026, the Department of Operative Surgery and Topographic Anatomy and the Simulation Center of the Dental Campus of Tashkent State Medical University held a surgical olympiad among third- to sixth-year students of TSMU. The goal was to form the TSMU team for the final round of the Academician M.I. Perelman International Olympiad at Sechenov University. More than 250 students from 125 teams participated in the qualifying olympiad. Faculty from 24 TSMU departments actively participated.

On February 16-22, 2026, in the city of Bukhara, at the Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sino, students of the surgical club ” Genesis “, along with students of TSMU, actively participated in the II The International Student Surgical Olympiad “Heirs of Avicenna”, where they were awarded second place in the team competition. |

From April 6 to 12 , 2026, the Genesis team represented the national team of Uzbekistan at the most prestigious and large-scale event – the Final of the XXXIV Moscow International Student Olympiad in Surgery named after Academician M.I. Perelman. |

Members of the Genesis club from the Anesthesiology and Resuscitation section, Nigina Khudoykulova, Abdulaziz Ikromov, Dilnura Chorieva , Rayhona Kutbiddinova and Komila Dzhalilova represented our club and department at the MEDIKAL Olympiad on emergency medical care, which took place in Moscow at Sechenov University. |

Captain of the Obstetrics and Gynecology section of the Genesis club , participated in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Olympiad in Irkutsk, Russian Federation, and took the honorable first place! |

On April 9-10, 2026, students from the Genesis Club of the Department of Operative Surgery and Topographic Anatomy participated in the IV International Student Olympiad in Surgery and Topographic Anatomy dedicated to the memory of Academician A. A. Idrisov in the city of Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan, and deservedly earned an honorable third place in the team competition. |
The key outcomes of international cooperation include: the exchange of experience and the introduction of innovative technologies into educational practice, as well as the use of international expertise and modern equipment in scientific research and the expansion of professional and organizational competencies in the chosen field of study; the publication of departmental collections of research articles and abstracts of reports based on the materials of scientific and practical conferences; and faculty publications in international journals. Prospects for international cooperation are linked to the further intensification and strengthening of ties with the international scientific community through the organization and implementation of joint scientific and practical events.
